Q: What kind of technology do we need to use the ARM (Attendee Relationship Management) System?
A: Our ARM system runs completely on web servers at XAND, so all you need is Internet access. We can host your event website on our servers, or you can link from your existing or future event websites to our engine.
The minimum recommended hardware and software configuration include the following:
- Intel 166Mhz Pentium Processor
- 32MB RAM (64MB preferred)
- Windows, or Macintosh O/S 7.6.1 or higher
- Netscape Navigator v4.7 and higher, or Microsoft IE v5.0 and higher, with Cookies, JavaScript, Java VM, SSL, and Digital Certificates.
Q: What types of reports are available? How does real-time reporting benefit me?
A: ARM has dozens of standard reports for registration, housing, payment processing, group management, etc. built into the system. But even better, Ad Hoc Report Generator enables you to easily build customized reports, in the format you require, using combinations of any information stored in the database.
Real-time on-demand reporting means that you and your vendors (if you choose to grant access) can access up-to-date information 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, wherever an Internet connection is available. And attendees benefit from true availability choices whenever they are ready to register for sessions or book their hotel and air travel.
Q: Does the ARM engine have the ability to import or export data to my current system?
A: All information stored in the ARM database can be easily exported into comma or tab delimited files and imported into your existing system and/or common databases or spreadsheets such as Excel, Lotus, Access, etc. Our system can even import comma or tab delimited files generated from your existing system and/or common database and application programs. Through Pegasus Systems, Marriott MarshaLink, and several direct-to-hotel arrangements, rooming list data is also directly transmitted to the hotel's proprietary systems.
Q: What about security?
Both the public and private sides of our ARM system have multiple levels of security. You easily control who has access to each administrative section of ARM, what changes/updates they can make and what information they can see. Our ARM system transmits all confidential and payment information using the Internet standard SSL encryption format to assure complete security for credit card and other confidential information.
